Week 2: Traditional BI skills

Every system you use will export to Excel or CSV, so being competent in Excel and Power BI is key. Master the fundamentals with real, hands-on, finance-grade exercises: XLOOKUP, IFS, pivot tables, statistics, Power Query and VBA, then Power BI, often called a “citizen developer” tool because it lets ordinary people work at developer level. You leave with portfolio work and the exact wording used on top-end CVs.

What you get

Preparation for two Microsoft AI certification exams (the £72 exam fee per exam is paid to Microsoft). No guarantees are given, but the programme is structured so that people I have supported so far have scored in the 800-900 range out of 1000 (700 is a pass). A one-month programme: one 1.5-hour live online session a week, then a certificate and a reference.

What Excel skills will I learn?
